WorkSafe Physiotherapy
A workplace injury can disrupt more than just your ability to do your job. It can affect your income, your routine, and your confidence in returning to normal activity. At Mickleham Physiotherapy Services, we provide WorkSafe physiotherapy to support people recovering from workplace injuries, helping them manage pain, rebuild function, and work toward a safe return to work.
Every workplace injury and recovery is different, so we take the time to understand your specific injury, your role, and the physical demands you’ll need to return to. Our physiotherapists build treatment plans around your individual circumstances and, depending on your WorkSafe claim and approval, we’re glad to liaise with your employer, case manager, or other treating professionals to help keep your recovery on track.
Our clinic is conveniently located in Mickleham, providing accessible WorkSafe injury rehabilitation for workers across the broader northern Melbourne region, including Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park, Merrifield, and Kalkallo.
What Is WorkSafe Physiotherapy?
WorkSafe physiotherapy refers to physiotherapy treatment provided to people recovering from a workplace injury, where treatment costs may be covered through a WorkSafe Victoria claim. WorkSafe is Victoria’s workplace injury insurance scheme, and physiotherapy is one of the treatments that may be funded as part of an approved claim, depending on your circumstances.
As part of your workplace injury rehabilitation, our physiotherapists assess how your injury is affecting your movement and function, then build a treatment plan designed to reduce pain, restore capacity, and support your return to work where appropriate. Treatment is adjusted as you progress, reflecting the physical demands of your role.
Key Information
If you’ve been injured at work, here’s what you may need to know before your first appointment.
01
Who It’s For — WorkSafe physiotherapy may be relevant if you’ve been injured at work, or developed a work-related condition, and have an approved WorkSafe claim. Funding depends on your individual claim and approval.
02
What You Need — Please bring your WorkSafe claim number, your date of injury, and the contact details for your employer and case manager or claim agent, where available. Any relevant medical certificates or reports are also helpful.
03
Billing — For approved claims, we can arrange billing directly with WorkSafe or your claim agent, so there may be no upfront cost for approved claim appointments.
04
Pending Claims — If your claim is still waiting for approval, payment may be due on the day of your appointment. Any reimbursement of these costs is determined by WorkSafe or your claim agent once your claim is approved.
